At Dicky’s Doghouse, fixing cars is what we do but serving our community is who we are.

We believe in showing up for the next generation. Not just when it’s easy or convenient, but because it’s the right thing to do. It’s part of our calling, our values, and our faith.

Two of the twelve young adults we were able to help this year!

🌱 Growing Good Things Starts Early

The young people of Jefferson County aren’t just the future, they’re already shaping the kind of community we’ll be proud to live in.

They’re learning to care. To lead. To try, to fail, and to try again. And when we invest in them early, we’re planting seeds that grow into strong roots for generations to come.

Every time we show up, we’re telling them:“You matter. We see you. And we believe in you.”

🐖 The 4-H Livestock Auction

One of our favorite ways to give back is by supporting the Jefferson County 4-H Fair Livestock Auction.

It’s not just a fun local event, it’s a celebration of hard work, responsibility, and hands-on learning. These kids aren’t just raising animals; they’re raising themselves. Through early mornings, tough lessons, and a whole lot of heart, they’re learning what it means to stick with something that matters.

By bidding at the auction, we’re not just buying livestock we’re investing in futures. Whether it's helping a student pay for college, buy their next animal, or pursue a trade, we’re proud to play a small part in their big dreams.

We truly believe that the blessings we’ve received are meant to be shared.

As Proverbs 11:25 says:“A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed.”

At Dicky’s Doghouse, faith and service go hand in hand. Every dollar, every handshake, every “You’ve got this” - it all reflects the One who’s given us everything.

“4H is an event that I have found is about developing young people into hard working, respectable, responsible, community-oriented adults. I knew that the ”4 H fair” was there, but never understood it’s power in our community until 3 years ago. Jeff Ferguson’s children came into our shop and invited us to the auction. I was impressed right away that these young people were doing this type of thing. People teaching their children responsibility at home of raising and caring for animals. Yes, this is a year long process for most of them. I always just thought it was about the week of the fair, boy was I wrong. I highly encourage folks to get a good look at what is happening at “the Fair”, you might find a lot more than you ever imagined”
